Dry Powder Mixing
The development of our range of state of the art processing technology is driven by the demands of customers in the pharmaceutical industry. With today's rapidly changing healthcare environment and strictly regulated legislations, our close working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry allows them to continue producing high quality bespoke equipment for process solutions.
The range of mixers can be classified into two categories: Horizontal Mixers and Vertical Mixers.
Horizontal Mixers
Our mixing equipment is designed for the consistent batch and continuous blending of powder and granules with capacities ranging from 35 litres - 60,000 litres.
The horizontal mixer range consists of ribbon, plough and paddle mixers. Each mixer comes fully welded and can be fabricated from carbon or stainless steel 304L or 316L.
Models can be custom-built to suit specific requirements including alternative trough shapes, cantilever shaft design for easy access and the addition of side cutters or intensifiers for extra shear.
Typical applications include dry powder mixing, addition of oils or other liquids into powders, breaking down agglomerates and storage of sticky powders. Each horizontal mixer is suited to specific application types, as seen in the table below:

Vertical Mixers
Our vertical mixers are fast, accurate and particularly suited to mixing free flowing, heat sensitive or fragile products.
Available in a range of sizes and capable of handling capacities of 100 to 25 000 litres, vertical mixers provide a low energy, gentle mixing action with minimal heat generation.
Typical applications include the mixing of powders, granules and fragile materials.
ADVANTAGES
|
-
Gentle Mixing: Low energy, gentle mixing action with minimal heat generation is ideal for mixing of heat sensitive or fragile products
-
Versatility: Possible for working capacity to range from 20 - 100% without losing any mixing accuracy
-
Accessibility: Efficient discharge and accessible design results in ease of cleaning and minimum risk of batch-to-batch contamination
-
Fast Mixing: Batches can be mixed quickly, enabling high capacities to be reached
-
Minimum Wear: Even when processing abrasive materials
